The Blue Letter Bible iOS app was written and supported in native Objective-c and also relies on client side JavaScript, CSS, HTML and SQLite for the data store and SQL queries for all of the native app functions. The external private API calls are made from within the app to & from BLB’s servers.
The MyStory – Daily Inspirations iOS app was written in native Swift and also relies on client side JavaScript, CSS and HTML. The data store was provided via Apple’s Core Data. The Be Still watchOS app was written in native Swift and the interface is pure SwiftUI. The external private API calls are made from within the app to Be Still’s servers. The watchOS app was also designed to be a standalone app, without an iOS companion app, meaning you don’t need to own an iPhone in order to install this app onto your Apple Watch.
